Vocabulary: We reviewed what synonyms and antonyms are. We completed a vocabulary worksheet with the following words together: taut, stupor, ruefully, delirious, leery, stricken, clad, contract, conformity, underprivileged.

Newsletter: I introduced your major assignment that you will be working on for the next two weeks:

You had some class time to reread the events of the fire in chapter 6 and create a rough draft of the "Breaking News" component of your newsletter. The Outsiders: We read chapter 9 and you had time to write your journal responses.

Dynamic/Static Characters: We discussed what these types of characters look like. We looked at two examples from Finding Nemo and discussed Ponyboy together as a class.


Journal Responses 7-9: You were given time to edit and submit your journal responses for chapters 7-9. These will be DUE FRIDAY.

Media Schmedia: You were to choose a news article  from the link on the blog and analyse it according to the worksheet questions. This will be Due FRIDAY.
